LUCI Knowledge Base

V2.0.3

Some nice new Luci features have been added.

New features:

  • You can remove the menu-bar from the window. Use Setup/Options. When you do this a small down-pointing arrow will appear in the upper left corner that enables you to show and choose the menu-options.
  • If you click on the LUCI logo you can switch between the About and GoLive tool quickly.

Bug solved:

  • In server mode, if you received a stream from a Smartphone running Live2 and AAC-HE codec, the server would crash.

V2.0 , important update

V 2.0.1 uploaded.

Bug:

  • The uploaded version 2.0 created a Logfile. This would impact processor usage a bit. This is now switched off like before. This Logfile will be deleted when you install this new version.

Added:

  • Multichannel server-mode is enabled differently now: You may now install Live2 only once and make different shortcuts to start it multiple times. The only thing you must do then is to add the folder where Live2 should run in to the command line of each shortcut. To add a command line change the “Target” in the properties menu of the shortcut. So this would then look like this for instance “D:\Luci Live Two\live2.exe” “D:\Luci Live Two\Server1\”

V2.0 is here.

Here’s another free update, Luci Live Two V2.0. Both platforms, Windows PC and Windows Phone are updated.
Lots of goodies for the professional are added:

  • 32-bit internal audio-path.
  • 24-bit audio codec ULCC (read more here).
  • 24-bit audio recording.
  • Sample-rate up to 384 kHz (only for PC).

Some visual enhancements:

  • Modern Vista style buttons for Vista and Windows 7

General enhancements:

  • You can now load files for playback with different sample-rates as the project.
  • Removing a USB audio interface while streaming is now handled better.
  • Installation with limited user-rights is now handled better. Especially with Windows Vista and Windows 7.
  • 30-day keycode didn’t work in some situations, should work always now.

Enjoy !

V1.5.2

Some nice features are added to make life even easier:

  • You can now play mono files or projects in a stereo stream and vice versa.
  • ASIO audio driver support is now enabled for N/ACIP also.
  • Compatibility with Prodys Prontonet is now confirmed for RTP and N/ACIP for the following codecs: G7xx,MP2,PCM. AAC is in the works.
  • SIP port can be set in the N/ACIP protocol, this way you can use other ports than 5060 to establish a call. For this just type :portnr behind the sip-address, just like with RTP.

2 Bugs solved:

  • ASIO didn’t work for N/ACIP protocol
  • If you played a file without streaming and you used ASIO, you had to wait a second before you could start playing again after stopping.

V1.5.1

On standard PC/Laptop watch out for port 5004 and 5005 ! When the user has enabled Streaming options or Media Sharing in Windows Media Player, port 5004 and 5005 can not be used by Luci or any other program anymore ….

This new version of Luci is now able to detect if any other program in a PC occupies the port that Luci wants to use when you press the connect-button and presents the user with an error-message.

Solution is to disable Sharing Media in Windows Media Player or just use another port.

If you have little control of what users do with their computer running Luci it is advised to use another port.

A small bug was solved in this version:

  • When you loaded a file for playing that was located at the USB drive and you then inserted the drive into another computer where the drive received a different drive-letter, Luci would start with an error where it couldn’t load the file. This is now solved.

V1.5

This is a public release , available on http://luci.eu also.

Following things are fixed:

  • “Follow Input” functionality at the Stations1 format  was broken in V1.4.14
  • When user starts the software without setup file, a setup file with 2 default stations will be made. But will still work in demo mode with 1 second silence each 10 seconds as long as the software is not registered.  The 30-day temporary license still works though.

V1.4.12

And here’s the latest free update of Luci Live2 again.

Improvements:

  • Force mono is moved to the I/O page, as it belongs to the audio output. With this switch you can tell Luci to output only mono, even when the incoming signal is stereo. The reason you might want to use this, is when your soundcard can only transmit and receive simultaneously when both are mono.
  • N/ACIP has some status messages, like “Busy” etc..
  • N/ACIP has Improvement error-handling.

A bug involving playing stereo files was solved:

  • When Force Mono was switched on, Live2 would freeze when playing stereo files.
